If you are ever planning to go to Hajj and Umrah please listen to this attentively. The loss of adab in our age is tragic.
I have come across many people in the West who visit Madinah and Makkah, yet they spend their days and nights in the hotels. They waste time in shopping malls, restaurants and in Mcdonalds. They live on their phones in 'Arafah. People make the whole Tawaf on Skype and Whatsapp. They have an addiction to selfies whilst giving salam to the Prophet ﷺ. Where has the adab gone? Others throw away 5* unfinished food into the bins, yet they are in the city of that Messenger ﷺ who used to tie stones to his stomach due to hunger. Every year. I hear young Western Muslims saying, "I am never going to Mina and 'Arafa again! I was bored!" These people did not have the right mindset when they went and they did not know who they were standing before.
Search out for those who are poor and elderly in Madinah and Makkah, and talk to them. It took some of them over 50 years to raise enough money to finally visit. They sleep on the floor and they live on dates and bread, yet they are in complete love with the Prophet ﷺ. They spend their days and nights crying and saying, "al-Salatu wa al-Salam 'alayka Ya Rasūlullāh!" When Imam Abu Hanifa was asked why he did not migrate and live in Madinah, he said, "I prefer my body to be in Kufa and my heart to be in Madinah than for my body to be in Madinah and my heart in Kufa."
A few years ago, TRT was recording in Africa with a drone. When a poor old man saw the drone - he thought it was a plane and asked, "Can this pick me up and take me to Madina?" His love was so great that the Turkish government ended up taking him for free. Why have our tears dried? Why have our hearts died? Our forefathers did not even complain about the heat of Madina.
My Faiths Goal
May Allah Ta’ala grant us His Love and the Love of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) , such that it becomes easy to give up all sins and submit to His Obedience. May He protect us all from the mischief of nafs and Shaytaan. May He fill our hearts with Love, Adab, Akhlaq and Sabr for this beautiful Deen and inspire us in being a practical and good Muslims and be true role-models to our community.
"I want to die with my forehead on the ground, the sunnah in my heart,Allah on my mind, the Quran on my tongue & tears in my eyes."
Remember
Through the Zikr of Allah Ta’ala one may achieve recognition and Maarifat of Allah Ta’ala.

Light of Dawn
I wake with the light of the dawn whispering with joy in my heart and with praise on my lips. In stillness and twilight i stand before you bowing, prostating i call Allahu (swt).
My eyes see your beauty in the dawn's golden hues. My ears hear the thunder as it gloriies you. The rhythm of my heart beats the sound of your name. My breaths rise and fall with the tide of your praise. My soul knew and loved you before i was born and without your mercy is lost and fortorn.
Wherever i may wonder down the pathways of life, my cry to you Allah (swt), is "guide me to ligfht" through all fear and helpness, to you do i turn for your breath of healing and peacedo i yearn. For all that i have , my Allah (swt) all that i am is from you, is for you and to you will return. Inshallah
