The statement does not claim the prophet saw abandoned people out of ego. places where he wasn't respected.
It reters to leaving environments of rejection orwarm while maintaining mercy, which is away. established in Qur'an and authentic Seerah.
1) When the Prophet a was mocked, rejected, and physically harmed in Ta'if, he left the city and did not remain there, while still making du'a' for them.
Source: Sahih al-Bukhari (Book of Beginning ot Revelation), lon Hisham (Seerah)
2) Allah explicitly commands believers to leave gatherings of mockery:
"When yoy hear the signs of Allah being denied and ridiculed, do not sit with them Until they change the topicand still walk away.
(Qur'an 4:140)
3) Allah also says:
"Hold to forgiveness, command what is right, and turn away from the ignorant."
(Qur'an 7:199)
Therefore, showing kindness while walking away from disrespect is Qur'anic and prophetic, not a personal interpretation.
