Whosoever has Allah in his heart, His helper in both worlds is Allah, And whoever has other than Allah in his heart, His opponent in both worlds is Allah."

Light of Dawn

I wake with the light of the dawn whispering with joy in my heart and with praise on my lips. In stillness and twilight i stand before you bowing, prostating i call Allahu (swt).
My eyes see your beauty in the dawn's golden hues. My ears hear the thunder as it gloriies you. The rhythm of my heart beats the sound of your name. My breaths rise and fall with the tide of your praise. My soul knew and loved you before i was born and without your mercy is lost and fortorn.
Wherever i may wonder down the pathways of life, my cry to you Allah (swt), is "guide me to ligfht" through all fear and helpness, to you do i turn for your breath of healing and peacedo i yearn. For all that i have , my Allah (swt) all that i am is from you, is for you and to you will return. Inshallah

So which of the favours of your Lord would you deny”

This verse is repeated 31 times in the Chapter 55, The Most Merciful, (Sūrat ar-Raḥmān):

"So which of the favours of your Lord would you deny?"

31 times. Almost as though someone is holding us and gently shaking us, to wake us up, because as humans beings we are the most ungrateful of creatures.

I sat today and reflected. We take so much for granted.

- We produce 300 billion new cells every day and your body is constantly repairing and rebuilding.
- The brain is composed of 80 percent water. The brain can hold five times as much information as the Encyclopedia Britannica. Nerve impulses travel at 170 miles per hour.
- The heart pumps 6 quarts of blood, circulating three times every minute. In one day, your blood travels a total of 12,000 miles.
- Each square inch of your skin includes four yards of nerve fibers, 600 pain sensors, 1300 nerve cells, 9000 nerve endings, 36 heat sensors, 75 pressure sensors, 100 sweat glands, 3 million cells, and 3 yards of blood vessels.
- People blink once every four seconds. That’s because eyelashes act as windshield wipers, keeping dust and grime from getting into the eye itself.
- Your liver works hard at over 400 functions, including detoxification, protein synthesis, and the production of biochemicals necessary for digestion. However, you could have two-thirds of your liver removed from trauma or surgery, and it would grow back to its original size in four weeks.
- Your lungs have a surface area the size of a tennis court. To oxygenate blood, our lungs are filled with thousands of microscopic capillaries. The large surface area makes it easier for this to take place and to get the oxygen where it needs to go.
- Your stomach gets a brand new lining every four days. Strong digestive acids quickly dissolve the mucus-like cells lining the walls of the stomach. So your body replaces them, routinely, before they are compromised.

The list goes on and on. This is why the verse is repeated 31 times in a chapter of 78 verses. None of these miracles happened by accident. The Maker didn't leave anything out in the miraculously built body. So, which of the favours given to us, will we deny?
