This official statement on the synagogue attack & news reports in Manchester only leave us with more questions than answers:
❓ Why did police use deadly force against a suspect who was unarmed, especially while claiming he wore a possible explosives vest? ❓ Why were police the only ones with firearms & responsible for shooting both a fatal victim & injuring another, including firing twice at the suspect after he appeared to rise again? ❓ Why wasn’t a taser, or other non-lethal method, used instead of a gun—especially with police trained for such situations & without his alleged knife we was no longer a threat? ❓ How did police arrive so quickly, they were called at 09:31 & firearms officers arrived at 09:34 with shot fired at 09:38—was there prior warning & how was the response coordinated so fast? The Manchester Police HQ is 17mins by car which is normally where fire arms officers are present, even with blue-light it's IMPOSSIBLE, only #SUPERMAN could achieve those speeds. Local police stations are closer but don't have firearms officers stationed. ❓ How did members of the press arrive so quickly at the scene? ❓ Who can independently confirm the identity of the suspect, apart from police statements ❓ How was he identified so rapidly & what are his personal or community links? ❓ Why was the attack immediately classified as terrorism, with Operation Plato invoked at 09:37—without clear evidence or a manifesto, while other recent attacks on mosques & Muslim communities rarely receive similar scrutiny or media coverage? ❓ Why are the reported details, including the timeline, the means & cause of injuries & witness accounts, so inconsistent, making it difficult to understand what actually happened that day? ❓ Why are politicians rushing to link this attack to pro-Palestinian supporters, when there is zero credible evidence for such a connection? ❓ Why did bomb disposal units surround the suspect’s body if the purported explosives were quickly declared “not viable”? ❓ Why were three additional arrests made and subsequently reported as “in connection with planning or execution”—but details remain unclear? ❓ Where is independent oversight or investigation into these events beyond statements by the police? ❓ Are there verified witness statements or only "official" accounts? We must confront & investigate these inconsistencies openly, & demand an honest investigation of what happened, so we can prevent such atrocities for all in the future. Why are so many Muslims & orgs so quick to condemn this event publicly when there are still no verifiable facts? Every life is precious, whenever a life is lost, we should grieve with sincerity for the individual, their family & their community. But have we not yet learned the importance of asking challenging questions & resisting scripted narratives, so that we do not unfairly incriminate ourselves, our communities, or our faith without the full truth?
