This is a parable about an old man who used to meditate each day by the river near his home. One morning he saw a scorpion floating on the water.
When the scorpion drifted near the old man he reached to rescue it but was stung by the scorpion.
A bit later he tried again and was stung again, the bite swelling his hand painfully and giving him much pain. A man passing by saw what was happening and yelled at him,
"Hey, stupid old man, what's wrong with you? Only a fool would risk his life for sake of an ugly, evil creature.
Don't you know you could kill yourself trying to save that ungrateful scorpion?"
The old man calmly replied,
"My friend, just because it is in the scorpion's nature to sting, does not change my nature to save."
Surah Al Mumtaninah
(That Which Examines)
60:7-8
It may be that Allah
Will grant love (and friendship)
Between you and those whom
Ye (now) hold as enemies.
For Allah has power
(Over all things); And Allah is
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
Allah forbids you not,
With regards to those who
Fight you not for (your) Faith
Nor drive you out of your homes,
from dealing kindly and justly
With them: For Allah loveth
Those who are just.
Even with Unbelievers or our enemies, unless they are rampant and out to destroy us and our Faith, we should deal kindly and equitably, as is shown by the Prophet Muhammed (Salallaahu 'aliahi wa'sallam's) own example. Do good to them, and lend a helping hand to help without expecting to get anything back.
Subhan Allah.............once again we have a small example of the way or Prophet (saw) lived their lives and we are still living in and our ego's .................
My Faiths Goal
May Allah Ta’ala grant us His Love and the Love of Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) , such that it becomes easy to give up all sins and submit to His Obedience. May He protect us all from the mischief of nafs and Shaytaan. May He fill our hearts with Love, Adab, Akhlaq and Sabr for this beautiful Deen and inspire us in being a practical and good Muslims and be true role-models to our community.
"I want to die with my forehead on the ground,the sunnah in my heart,Allah on my mind, the Quran on my tongue & tears in my eyes."

Through the Zikr of Allah Ta’ala one may achieve recognition and Maarifat of Allah Ta’ala.

Light of Dawn
I wake with the light of the dawn whispering with joy in my heart and with praise on my lips. In stillness and twilight i stand before you bowing, prostating i call Allahu (swt).
My eyes see your beauty in the dawn's golden hues. My ears hear the thunder as it gloriies you. The rhythm of my heart beats the sound of your name. My breaths rise and fall with the tide of your praise. My soul knew and loved you before i was born and without your mercy is lost and fortorn.
Wherever i may wonder down the pathways of life, my cry to you Allah (swt), is "guide me to ligfht" through all fear and helpness, to you do i turn for your breath of healing and peacedo i yearn. For all that i have , my Allah (swt) all that i am is from you, is for you and to you will return. Inshallah
